This is my first blog post, so please, it will get better as time goes on.
My first review will be for the games Mega Man 1, 2 and 3 for the NES (nintendo entertainment system). For those of you who don’t know, Mega Man is a robot that was built by Dr. Light. Mega Man faces the evil Dr. Wily and his 8 (6 in MM1) robot masters. Mega can use a robot master’s power after he defeats him in 1 on 1 battle.
Mega Man 1, released in 1987, featured the 6 robot masters Bombman, Gutsman, Fireman, Elecman, Iceman and Cutman. This game was the first in the entire Mega Man series as it was the only one to feature a scoring system.
Mega Man 2, released 1988, was and is considered the best in the series. The robot masters here are Quickman, Flashman, Metalman, Airman, Bubbleman, Heatman, Woodman and Crashman. MM2 also has the best music in my opinion and is also the easiest of the series, but that isn’t saying much. The Mega Man origional series is really hard in general.
Mega Man 3, released in 1990, was the first game that featured the “slide” move (down+jump). The bosses here are Topman, Shadowman, Sparkman, Magnetman, Hardman, Snakeman, Geminiman and Needleman. MM3 also used Mega’s robot dog, Rush, as either a springboard, a jet or as a submarine.

Gameplay: 3/5 (you slide around a lot and you miss a lot of jumps)
Music: 5/5 (catchy tunes are frequent)
Difficulty: 4/5 (it is hard!)
Graphics: 4/5 (the best of the 8-bit era in my opinion)
Overall: 4/5
Mega Man 2:
Gameplay: 4/5 (less sliding is a plus)
Music: 5/5 (this musics rocks!)
Difficulty: 3/5 (still hard, but less deaths)
Graphics: 4/5 (the same as MM1)
Overall: 4.5/5
Mega Man 3:
Gameplay: 4/5 (slide is akward)
Music: 5/5 (always excellent)
Difficulty: 4/5 (harder than MM2)
Graphics: 4/5 (still the same)
Overall: 4.5/5
